The Church in Marshall (CIM) held it's firstmeeting on the 3402 South Washington Ave. property in Marshall, Texas on February 3,1985. Prior to that time, meetings were held in the Marshall CivicCenter. Randy Shankle had received a command from the Lord Jesus Christ while in Texarkana, Texas to return to the Church (priorto this he had his own ministry) and to make disciples. Particularly, he was and is to train men into leadership though discipleship is for men and women, girls and boys alike. Inobedience, Randy and his wife were on their way south when they came into Marshall. While driving through on Highway 59, the Lord impressed upon Randy's spirit by His presence that this was where Hewanted him to build. Brother Randy co-operated with the leading of the Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit to establish a local fellowship of believers, walking in discipleship under the rule of God, now known as The Church in Marshall. The Church in Marshall, co-laboring in the anointing of our Apostle Jesus Christ and Brother Randy Shankle's gift of apostleship, has for twenty years, hosted three extra-localmeetings a year for men of God and their wives, as well as single participants from all over the country. Increasingly, these meetings have taken on the single vision and strategy of the ApostolicCampaign of Jesus Christ. The Apostolic Campaign's objectives are tomake disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19), to bring obedience tothe faith among all nations for His name's sake (Romans 1:5) to teachus to rule and to serve as kings and priests unto our God (Revelation1:6) and to build us increasingly, as a spiritual house, intoconformity with Christ and toward the measure of the stature of thefulness of Christ (1 Peter 2:5-10, 1 Corinthians 3:9-11, Ephesians4:11-13). |
